The Chien Center Community of Practitioners
All of us at Chien Center have either graduated from, or have done continuing education at Twin Lakes College of the Healing Arts (TLC) in Santa Cruz. Why is this important? Because the primary focus in all TLC training is the "Client Centered Approach". That means that we do everything we can to make your experience with us the absolute best that it can be. While it's impossible to convey the level of dedication and skill possessed by the people here with mere words, we have provided a brief "about me" section for each of us. Take a look and see if there is anyone you resonate with. Better yet, if you're looking for just the right therapist, try working with a few of us and see who you like. We're all very good at what we do, so you won't have to search too long to find what you're looking for.

Lucinda Rasmussen - State Certified Massage Therapist
Cindy re-entered the work force in 1999 after being a full time homemaker and mother of four. Working as a certified health care professional both in a private practice and a hospital setting, Cindy was drawn to seek a more wholistic "hands on" approach to health and healing. Taking a class at Twins Lakes College in 2006 has led to more than 1000 hours of formal massage training and a new career as a massage therapist and teacher. Cindy was inspired by the "client centered" approach to healthcare where the individual takes responsibility and participates in their own path to wholeness and healing and can choose from a variety of modalities, eastern and western, to aid them on this journey.
Cindy is trained in Prenatal, Shiatsu and Swedish Massage as well as Acupressure, Aromatherapy and Intrinsic Touch (a unique combination of myo-fascial release and cranio-sacral techniques). Her fascination with the inner workings of the human body keep her striving to learn more and she continues to study body work techniques as she develops her private practice with clients.
